Your Invitation to my Changing What’s Normal 1 day workshop
I am very pleased to invite you to join me in a ground-breaking workshop.
Strictly limited to 30 participants in total and up to three people per organisation in each location i.e. Auckland, Adelaide, Chicago, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Manchester, Melbourne, Singapore, Sydney.
Most change programs fail in my experience for 13 major reasons:
The people charged with making the change happen don’t really believe in it and therefore their work is half-hearted at best
The change program is designed to take too long and the status quo wins
The expectations are unrealistic
People are not genuinely appreciated when they do well
People are not held to account when they fail to perform as they agreed they would
Measurements of progress are poor or non-existent
Desired change is actually problem solving which usually means a return to the status quo rather than real innovation
Intentions, emotions, and thinking doesn’t change and therefore any behaviour change that may happen doesn’t last
There isn’t a real shared-view about why the change is crucial/essential
There isn’t a real shared-view on how the change will happen and who will do what, and when
Leaders don’t understand all change is personal first, relationships second, and organisations third
Leaders don’t personally change
Broken relationships remain broken
The presence of any of the above reasons will most likely mean your change initiative will see you go backwards.
The awesome benefits to you when you get it right for you is what this 1 day workshop is all about.
I promise you pioneering, breathtaking, truly innovative, measurable change, people can actually believe in and make happen because you will discover in this workshop your way to ensure that none of the above 13 reasons exist.
As a mentor to me and my family members who lead and manage our businesses Ian Berry has made a significant difference to our personal and business success including our 570% growth in just under 5 years.

Since 1991 I have partnered with people passionate about change who want to break free from the status quo and accelerate turning possibility into reality.
It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

In this one day workshop you will discover for yourself unique ways that you can adapt to change and overcome the 13 reasons why change programs fail. Your discoveries will lead you to ensuring that you gain the maximum return possible on your future investments in change, training, and/or learning programs.
This is not Your ‘normal’ workshop
This workshop won’t be your ‘normal’ workshop. There will be high degrees of interaction, grounded in real world reality. There will be no fancy theories and no how to’s.
What I will provide are sparkenations.
Sparkenation: a spark that ignites passion that leads to action that changes what’s normal.
I will share stories that are sparkenations of several defining moments in my life.
We each have defining moments. When we live the lessons we learn through these moments we change what’s normal and inspire others to do the same.
“The best story isn’t my story or your story; the best story is our story.” says Mark Sanborn.
Therefore the best stories we tell are those other people recognise themselves in.
You will recognise yourself in my stories.
Stories that are sparkenations shared in person have made a difference since humans first walked the earth. Now with the digital world being so invasive, storytelling in person matters even more.
Stories that are sparkenations shared in person create something that will never be possible in the digital world no matter how good technology gets - humans connecting in their hearts, the most profound gateway to change that there is.
I've discovered a few things about the spread of ideas: first, in-person interaction really can't be beat. While digital ideas spread far and fast, there's something really powerful about being in the same room. And second, it often takes more than an hour or two to really dig in and discover not just who else is in the room with you, but what's holding you back and what's available to move you forward.

I tell stories that stir hearts and shift thinking. As a result of what you hear yourself say to yourself, and the conversation we will engage in throughout this day together, you will be inspired to step-up your achievements and change your world for the better.
Ian’s story-telling method is very engaging. He invites the reader to consider things, in contrast to telling us what we should believe and do.
As someone who has made a difference in his own life, he encourages us to make a difference as a leader or an employee, whether as an individual or an organisation. In a society where conformity and shallowness are ever more the norm, he challenges us to be different.

Reg Polson, Polson and Co., participant in Melbourne Changing What's Normal book launch seminar
The video below is a 5 minute story from one of my workshops.
In this workshop we will create together an experience you will never forget.
My stories and sparkenations are important yet nowhere important as what you hear yourself say to yourself and then what you do that you have never done before.
You will be sharing in this workshop what you hear yourself say to yourself.
And you will work with other participants and assist each other to leave with at least the following three take-aways:
a clear pathway to change yourself and your relationships
extraordinary insights into how you can accelerate turning possibility into reality
an approach to enrol and engage others in changing your organisation
Each participant will also receive a copy of my Changing What’s Normal book.
In my book I explore 58 sparkenations for you to act on in your own way in order to change yourself, your relationships and your organisation. My book has a companion online vault that contains links, downloads, tools, tips, templates, & techniques for your contemplation and to help you take action in your own way.
Changing What's Normal' is simply a book like no other, a real must read. Everyone in the audience of the Sydney book launch were gripped by Ian's avalanche of enthusiasm and passion. The only downside is the near impossibility to put it down once you've started the first page.....

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is especially for you if you are a business/corporate leader or change agent and you resonate with at least one of the following:
Are a visionary leader and want to close the gap between where you are and where your key people are
Want to sustain or gain your strategic positioning in your market/s
Have less than 80% of my your employees fully engaged in your plans to turn possibility into reality
Know you need to make pioneering, truly innovative steps forward, you just haven’t yet discovered what they are
Want to considerably improve follow through work after training, learning or change initiatives
See the vital importance of authentic and strong connections with like hearted and minded people and possible collaborators
Have determined small improvements can still be made in the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the multitude of transactions your business makes every day
Know behavourial shifts are needed to ensure that all of the numerous interactions that occur between your stakeholders on a daily basis are the best they can possibly be
Have identified further functions of your business that can be outsourced and are yet to instigate or implement appropriate action
Strictly limited to 30 participants in total and up to three people per organisation, in each city.
I recommend that at least two people from your organisation participate as change is simple yet rarely easy and so there are great benefits from more than one person from the same organisation being exposed to the concepts explored during the workshop and engaging in the experience. Accordingly there is considerable savings to be made by registering for more than one person.
Very stimulating content, good references.
I really appreciated Ian’s wealth of knowledge and generosity in sharing tools on the Internet.
The humility of the stories was great.
I liked the 6 word strategy.
Ian’s session couldn’t be improved - hence the 10 out of 10!
